These songs are mostly fiction, so if any characters resemble any other characters, living or dead, it's just a coincidence.
We've been needing to make a Nuther Brothers CD for years, so we took our time with this one, counting on pent up demand and the promises of all those people who said they'd buy one. Well, here ya go.

What's most gratifying, as a musician, is being able to call on such a fine bunch of incredible players to contribute to the effort. Though we always offered beer, some would only accept a glass of water. Thank you all you Step-Nuthers! You all get 10 copies for your mothers.

The other thing that thrills me to pieces is that my Bro liked a bunch of my songs enough to appropriate them for himself. I understand he likes other songwriters too, so we included a few of Tom's signature covers from our live shows. I can deal with it.
Brotherly speaking, Tom and I were separated before birth. We were reunited about 10 years ago thanks to Bob Fairchild recruiting us into his bluegrass band, the Sourdough Biscuits. The weird thing about our siblingness is that there's no rivalry. Except maybe for the continuing disagreement about who's smarter and who's better looking. Neither of us thinks there's really much of an argument about that however.
—Michael "Faubion" Nuther

As the junior member (chronologically) I want to thank Michel for his production, patience, and comfortable partnership. I have played with over a hundred musicians over the years, and musical relationships like this are rare and deeply valued. I, too, want to thank all our friends who pitched in to make the full sound on this CD.
I especially want to thank Kent Ireton and Doyle Burnett for leaving town.
There is no doubt in my mind who is smarter and better looking, but I will keep that to myself.
—Tom ‘Torvie’ Nuther
