Inspired by the new music he has heard through his 6 Music show, Tom Robinson has returned with his first new album in twenty years 'Only The Now', a record made with award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Diver and released on his own Castaway Northwest Recordings.

The songs are as vibrant and edgy as any he's ever written: the sound of a veteran craftsman – drawing on his long, rich fund of experience – with a renewed energy and purpose. The first track taken from the album 'Don't Jump, Don't Fall' is already out and features guest vocals from Mancunian artist Lee Forsyth Griffths.

Tom plays many festivals this summer including Glastonbury, Latitude, Wickham and Green Man. He also plays a showcase at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall in September and a 15 date tour with Kitten Pyramid throughout October and November.

Tom's touring lineup includes Faithless drummer Andy Treacey, producer/multi instrumentalist Gerry Diver, session guitarist Adam Phillips (Richard Ashcroft, Cher, Rod Stewart), and guest vocalist/guitarist Lee Forsyth Griffiths.

Tom Robinson is a songwriter and broadcaster born in 1950. His career started in 1975 and he enjoyed chart success fronting his own Tom Robinson Band (TRB) with hits such as Glad To Be Gay, 2-4-6-8 Motorway and Up Against The Wall. After releasing a further ten albums (which included the singles 'War Baby' and 'Atmospherics: Listen To The Radio' written with Peter Gabriel), he began hosting radio programmes on all the BBC's major networks - where over the past 13 years he's become a staunch champion of independent bands and emerging artists.
