The British SALEM should surprise this year with their latest album'Dark Days' all metalheads like hard rockers. Although'Dark Days' is only their second full-length album and her real debut'Forgotten Dreams' first appeared in 2013, the British are one of the most legendary bands of the NWOBHM.
Established in 1979 in Hull, emerged from the ashes of ETHEL THE FROG, they could quickly with their twin guitar melodies not only the fans but also magazines like Kerrang! Convince magazine with their singles and demos. However, after the sad band split in 1983, was until 2010 to publish all previous demo songs on CD (via Pure Steel Records) and LP. And SALEM were also immediately again on the world stage (Brofest, Play It Loud, Very Eavy, Headbangers Open Air, Rock You To Hell Festival u. V. M.), As the band in the original's 1983 occupation reformed.
The new plant will now SALEM delight every friend of NWOBHM, if he had won the music-loving not only in the old days. So they have this time in a hard rock garb created songs full of melody and depth and their very unique sound has no limits. With songs like'Not Guilty' and'Complicated' overcome any uniformity and curl simultaneously with hardness and interesting melodies lovers of RAINBOW to THIN LIZZY or UFO to be. Catchy in'Lost My Mind' or'Fallen Angel', crisp in'Second Sight', heroic in'Toy Story '- all the songs have that certain something and are continuous with an exceptional guitar playing, that has no equal, blessed and superb vocals Simon Saxby. The epic, over eight minutes long'Nine Months' is finally compositionally the culmination of this work.
