The operating since 2007 blues-rock fusion band from Vienna was due to the high level and the expressive performance soon after the establishment of a popular guest at various Blues festivals. The band consists of vocalist Michael Schuberth, which makes Gary Moore and Van Morrison forget sometimes, guitarist and composer Peter Peduzzi, bassist Fritz Salek, keyboardist Bernhard Käferböck and finally the drummer Andi Menrath. Rampensau the band is unquestionably Michael Schuberth, who masters the keyboard of blues and blues-rock and jazz-rock.

So let us be one of the "Down Home Blues" and also on the "Spin Doctor", intended as a bonus / malus track as it is on the disk. Peter Peduzzi is responsible for this item. He also co-wrote also to "I Look So Tough". Only "Jimmy M" written by the drummer Andi Menrath is another original composition under the well-established titles. Otherwise, the band uses the popular repertoire, bows with "I Put A Spell On You" before Screamin 'Jay Hawkins and "I Just Wanna Make Love To You" before Willie Dixon. Although the band dispenses with the title of Willie Dixon, in contrast to the original, on the harmonica as a harmony instrument, so that's no big deal. The fact that the Rolling Stones had this item on tour in the program, sets the bar quite high anyway. But thanks to the "Blue Tube" by Michael Schuberth one misses neither Willie Dixon even Mick Jagger. Do we need really a saxophone as a harmony instrument to bring "I Got a Spell On You" with all the curses to be heard? Evidently not. Even the "Shindig", the Screamin 'Jay Hawkins held on the stage is unnecessary. One need only clock and feel and a good voice - all of which has The Blues infusion. So we like to be to instill a "bluesy broth".

It begins with a hit of Z.z. Hill who thought he was in the 1980s for two years in the charts: "Down Home Blues". Distorted guitar riffs, rolling bass lines of keyboards, skilful Bassgezupfe and a well-oiled blues voice - that's the Melange for the first title of the current album. Oh, is there with "I Look So Tough" young Joe Cocker present? No, Michael Schuberth has an equally supporting voice like Cocker when "I got some girls but nobody belongs to me ..." sings. These howls Pedozzis guitar while the rest of the band at the right speed makes. Timing is everything, we know that not only since Ginger Baker and Cream! "I drown my sorrow in wine, whiskey and beer ..." rows if a hard guy who is not yet so, as he pretends. To relationship problems, it is also in a song, at the BB King was compositionally involved: "You Upset Me Baby". That one is a keyboard also almost in a Hammond B3 can transform, shows in this song the keyboard player of the band very persistent. In his playground guitarist Peter Peduzzi more like Eric Clapton BB King. No question, that's a good thing, because it's all about arrangements and interpretation and not to the covers of originals. Who only is it "Jimmy M"? Hendrix, it can not be. Maybe Jim Morrison of the Doors? One would Andy Menrath ask who composed the piece. "Maybe I am a dreamer / maybe I'm a poser / ... penetrates as Versfragment our ears. A winner can Jimmy M. therefore certainly not be.

Those who want to immerse themselves in the blues, which was to the Blues infusion treat calm, even when it's own compositions rather lacking. But the selected classics of blues and their interpretation can be the fast appear as mere side note. ~automatic translation
