Tawnya Reynolds was raised in the southwest and began singing at age 6. With a lack of a major music community to connect with, she taught herself guitar and the craft of songwriting..... "There really wasn't an outlet to learn about the music business so I spent most of my time in my room playing guitar and writing."...... Her first recording was a three original song project she recorded at the only studio in town.

After graduation she bounced around the Austin music scene for a year and spent some time in Ft. Worth. In 2001 she was more than ready to hit the road to Nashville.

Immediately she was signed to a publishing deal where she wrote for nearly three years. "After that I was bar tending to pay the bills and playing two to three shows a week. I was elated to be a real part of the music scene in Nashville." While plugging away and making connections, a mutual friend introduced her to Cole Wright who produced a critically acclaimed ten song album on Tawnya titled "Carnival followed by "Standing In The Rain." In 2008, she was signed by Wright to Wright of Center Music Publishing Company.

In 2012 Tawnya was asked to auditioning or NBC's hit television show The Voice. Although reality t.v. was not something she'd ever contemplated, it was an opportunity she felt she had to take. After a Memphis and L.A. audition Tawnya was officially added to Team Shakira, making her a part of The Voice family. Tawnya made it to the Knockout Rounds, fighting her way down to one of the top 32 before leaving the show. "I have no regrets. I represented myself and country music the best way I knew how. I made lifelong friends and gained immense exposure."

Now with the completion of her third album, “8 Track”, in which she co-produced, Tawnya continues to play regularly in Nashville, write and tour the U.S.
