As an enduring fan of the songs of Hank Williams, this project was a labor of love for Daniel O Donnell. Because Williams wrote and recorded so many great songs in his lifetime it was a difficult task, even for a long-time fan such as Daniel, to decide what tracks would best reflect the diversity of styles of the country icon who passed away over six decades ago.

Carefully selecting and recording 16 of Hank s most popular tunes, Daniel sings the songs with sincerity, albeit in his own inimitable style and being respectful of the unparalleled sound of Hank Williams. Daniel makes no effort to copy that style but puts his own smooth slant on those legendary songs in his new album titled The Hank Williams Songbook.
