Bobby Borg (on "Some Days")- I actually played this a couple of times man and really really really dug it. Really! Sometimes music is meant to be enjoyed and not over analyzed. (on "The Bad Seed" and Some Days")- Hey Joshua - I think it is great that you share your experiences with depression so openly in these tracks. For you, I can see that the songs are helpful - it will aid others who have the same or a similar issue for sure. Even if people can not fully understand the extent to which depression affects one's life, I would say that many people have gone through periods when they, for example, felt like a failure and were listening to the critical inner voices.
The way you present the tracks works - especially the introspective piano-based productions of the two last songs is fitting. Both those tracks end on a more upbeat and hopeful note.
I wish you good luck with everything." (on "A Monster Inside," "The Bad Seed," and "Some Days")- Joshua - you have some well written lyrics and melodies. You have some choruses that stand out from the verses and are memorable both melodically and lyrically. In "A Monster Inside" having some unexpected pauses in the rhythm of the melody and phrases that go on a little longer than you think they will would make the melody more unpredictable. The falsetto vocals in the B section of "Some Days (Epilogue) is really great and unexpected." Lyrics graded at 9/10! (on "The Bad Seed")- "Hey Joshua, Thank you for your submission. You have a lot of great elements in these songs. That line "Failure my dear you haunt me" is haunting me!! Ha!" Lyrics rated at 9/10!
