The album opens quietly with 'Tiny Box Of Memories'. Soft, soothing soundscapes floath gently through the air in perfect ambient tradition. Yet, here you can clearly notice a post-rock background in the way the track builds up, swells and become heavier. Some harsh guitar drones appear and the whole does indeed become something that Godspeed! You Black Emperor could become jealous about. 'Daydreaming' follows that example and is indeed best to be enjoyed with your eyes closed and your mind wandering.

The wandering may continue on 'Like Ships Without Anchors', drifting in an ocean of restful sounds. This song has a bit more melody, hidden beneath the layers of synths and drones. It too swells, grows and evolves and it too doesn't need any percussion to keep the listener interested. Title track 'Her Name In A Language Of Stars' perfectly combines all previously mentioned elements and becomes a great epitome of what Endless Melancholy is capable of.

In a way, the music on this album has very little to do with modern day composers like Olafur Arnalds or Nils Frahm, although 'Their Hearts Erased' is a beautiful and magical piece of modern day classical music, entwined with soothing sounds. 'Burial, When the Sun Sets' is the longest piece and also the darkest one. This is another beautiful composition, born out of the usual ingredients.
