'Roux' (pronounced Ru) is Alesha MacDonald (Texas born singer, song-writer). 'Destinations' is her debut album recorded at Nashville's legendary Blackbird Studio featuring talented musicians Justin Kalk (producer, guitarist), Steo Britton (bass), Jeremy Williams (drums), Charles Butler (banjo, dobro), & Adam Dalton (keys).

This musical collaboration came together when Adam Dalton and his band started using Roux's garage as a practice studio for his performances with 'Adam Dalton and the B Sides'. These garage gatherings soon turned into liquor fuelled jam sessions with a variety of Nashville's talent often turning up for the party. The instigator of such events was the notorious Justin Kalk, bringing a surreal flare and relentless hedonism to the scene, backed up by his bass man, Steo Britton.

Roux's lyrics and song-writing stemmed from her extensive travels and desire to chase the surf. Once situated in Nashville, the acoustic songs found their electric spark. Justin Kalk Orchestra's (JKO) newest arrival, drummer Jeremy Williams, revealed a deeper percussive element that fed off of Steo's oversized bass. Throwing Adam's funky keys into the mix with Charles Butler's delicate and precise banjo and dobro skills completed the line up for Roux's band.
