In 2009 Meantooth Grin released their debut album, "Before the Devil knows you're Dead" and dove head first into Blues rock head first with an album that featured a wide variety of tracks ranging from Hard rock to straight up delta style blues. With their latest effort, "Outnumbered and Outgunned", they decided to do a live album featuring some of the better songs from their debut, along with four new tracks for fans. Among these new tracks are songs like "We only come out at night", a definite departure from blues, heading into territory of bands like Clutch. The album also features an instrumental named "Octavia”, appropriately named for the many octave chords used throughout this funky tune. Those familiar with their debut album may recognize "Before the Devil knows you're dead" the title track of their previous album, but the live version is a remix of sorts, being a full band version live vs. the more acoustic version on the first album.
"Black Snake Shake” is a ZZ Top influenced southern dirt groove rocker with a theme that can’t help but make one think of The Film "Black Snake Moan" at times.
Rounding out the album is a fan favorite "Revelator" a cover of "John the Revelator" the traditional, this fan favorite sounds like the guitar amp might just explode at points, then fades into much more mellow refrain.

Recorded live in the bands home town of Wausau, WI at the "Kruse In" by Marty Cheyka of Whitehouse Studios, this live album also features some of the more popular songs from their first album, like; "Drive", "Tommy Gun", "Dark Was the Night" and "Telephone Blues". These versions are Meantooth at their best, and truly shows the emotion and live prowess of the band better than any studio versions could!

Outnumbered and Outgunned is a much more true representation of the band and their sound and energy. The band hopes fans will enjoy this as much as they enjoyed making it!
