Debut album totally auto produced for rock/blues band the Dirty Hands of Cagliari. Francesco Nieddu: guitar, William "WilliBoy Taxi" Smith: vocals and harmonica, Thomas Pintori: drums and Valter Sword: bass. The band, formed in 2006, closes a first phase of its history divided between working in the rehearsal room and a constant live activity culminated last August with the participation in the first edition of the Festival blues of Cagliari: "on the roads of the blues" and with the release of their first studio work.
The DH offer nine tracks (plus a bonus track) of a blues rock that stands between tradition and personal influences of four, merging into a result stylistically homogeneous but varied throughout its duration. They range from rock rhythms of songs like "Waitin' out the door" and "Night time woman" and, passing through the boogie of "Dirties like the blonde", to songs closer to tradition as "Rolling down the street" and "Black Crow". Pleasant surprise the presence of an arrangement with violin on bonus track, the track "Fool man blues" performed by violinist A.M. Viani. Also included are some covers of artists that the band cites among his influences ranging from Robert Johnson, one of the greatest exponents of the blues of the origins, the Cream of claptoniana memory, and a very personal version of a song by ZZ Top, the American band that Dirty Hands feel as the most important source of inspiration.
A compact, this rhythm section that acts as a carpet on guitars and the deep and expressive voice of the singer, with a harmonica who joins in the sign of the blues sound of the Quartet.
