The Secret Post is the brainchild of Zachariah Wiser. The Post came into existence in early 2004, as an outlet for Zachariah's post-punk/New Wave influences to flourish. The Post started out as Zachariah himself, all alone, recording home demo's, as he was busy with WiseMan at the time. Zachariah moved back to Tulsa, his hometown, in the summer of 2006. He quickly began the hunt for members to make this project come to life. The Secret Post made a huge impact on the Tulsa scene a few short months later with a string of shows unlike that of which Tulsa hadn't seen in years. With Post-Punk long gone, this band decided to bring it back with the passion and stature of a brand new genre. The band is led by Zachariah's brooding vocals, and metaphorical lyrics about sex, death, despair, and love...with his melancholic and sometimes Staccato jerky rhythm guitar leading the way. He is backed by Nicoli on the drums, pounding like a ton of sullen bricks, with driving and steady flow, along with M on Bass, reminiscent of Peter Hook/Simon Gallup's attack/lead style of playing. Finally with Timothy DeCasper on synth, he provides the thick, stringed backdrop for Zachariah's songs in the fashion of a wall of sound. We, The Secret Post are stronger than ever, and have started our attack on the scene once again, not to retreat, but to strike at the core of your heart and soul, and make our presence known. With influences such as The Cure, Bauhaus, The Chameleons UK, Interpol, The Sound, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, and The Cult brimming in our music, how can we go wrong? The EP entitled "Fields of Fire" was released last year, and quickly gained critical acclaim, especially in Europe. 2015 will bring many new exciting things for The Post, our new full length album entitled, "From Train to Station" will be setting the stage for things to come.
