Janky digs deep into the roots of the blues while adding respectful touches that would hopefully appease the great blues legends like Son House, Blind Lemon Jefferson, John Lee Hooker, RL Burnside, Junior Kimbrough and Reverend KM Williams. These days, the blues genre is far from its roots, and most people have never heard the real blues. Janky doesn't intend on sounding just like his inspirations – it would be impossible anyway. Janky interprets and jumps off from the roots of blues music.

This self-produced release finds Janky focusing on simple grooves based in the delta blues style or at times in the hill country blues style. It is chock-full of foot-stomping jams and some of the best harmonica playing east of the Mississippi. Great harp player "Deacon" Jeff Stone really soars on this release playing on all but three tracks. Landon Lee Kirksey and Harry Hoggard play on two tracks as well.

Janky, or Scott Lindsey is originally from Shreveport, LA but has been a strong contributor to the music scene in Dallas, TX for many years. Besides recording music in his home studio, Janky currently plays guitar and sings for and Them Grackles. He also plays bass for the amazing and is currently under the music tutelage of Reverend KM Williams.

Janky: "Why you so hard on me, bossman?"
Reverend KM Williams: "When I am done with you, you gonna be a real blues man."
Janky: "Yes, sir."

Influences: Junior Kimbrough, RL Burnside, Son House, Mississippi Fred McDowell, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Reverend KM Williams, Magic Sam
