The highly talented, young singer from Vienna to rely on their long-awaited debut album, with their colourful, nuanced and extremely lively voice. Skillfully evades any Schubladisierung, and moves easily in the field between Jazz, Pop and classical. Equally different also listen to your Singers, from Billie Holiday and Etta James through Aretha Franklin and Erykah Badu to Lauryn Hill and Beyoncé. Pandering to Zeitgeistiges is not her, but rather seeks to Lia Pale timelessness. She is supported by a superb, from Top Austrian musicians existing Band: Harry Sokal (sax), Hans Strasser (bass) and Ingrid Oberkanins (perc). Behind the Pseudonym shoE at the Piano hides one of the most important figures in the Viennese Jazz scene of the last decades: Mathias Rüegg.

The Album also features a jazzy processing of Parts of the Winterreise, Franz Schubert's (on texts by Wilhelm Müller). Schubert is elegant in a jazzy Song, and the Whole is far enough from the source material to stand on their own feet. A Song such as water – Schubert of poetic gloom – will Pale to a walzerleicht dahinswingenden number, the Sokal with dignified Spontanarbeit supplies. Here was intelligent, worked carefully, and Franz Schubert sounds, as if he had jazz standards written!
