The Enid, infamous for producing almost four decades of unique Symphonic Rock music, perform live with a full Symphony Orchestra and Choir at Symphony Hall, Birmingham. CD1 offers live performances of the bands earliest work featuring pieces which originate from EMI releases In the Region of the Summer Stars and Aerie Faerie Nonsense. CD2 begins with an exclusive first full length performance of the 2010 album Journey's End. This is followed by another exclusive performance of the Barclay James Harvest piece Mockingbird, which had been fully orchestrated for the band four decades ago by The Enid's Robert John Godfrey. The world class City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO), and The Warwickshire County Music Services Youth Choir really bring these compositions to life. Following the concert, The Enid has received high critical acclaim as ""Incomparable, unique and always adventurous..."" The Midland Rocks. The Express and Star reviewed ""The delivery of Enid songwriter Robert John Godfrey's songs through a rock band augmented by an orchestra and choir worked brilliantly."" The concert was recorded by Abbey Road Live, and mixed by The Enid's very own Max Read at The Lodge Recording Studios, Northampton. In February 2012, Robert John Godfrey's performance of The Mirror of Love taken from this album became the #1 fastest moving mp3 download on Amazon. It also reached #1 in the Amazon Classical Download Chart, with the CBSO performance of The Art of Melody (also from this album) reaching #2. Tracks The Mirror of Love and The Art of Melody are promoted by top radio station Classic FM, with The Mirror of Love charting in the top 100 of the Classic FM Hall of Fame 2012 and 2013.
