The Kingbees started as a trio in Louisiana R & B pop style. Piano, saxophone and drums. This was in the spring of 2003.
But pretty soon there was a knock at the rehearsal room door and stepped into perhaps the city's only jazz-influenced "Professor" in vintage music. Mr. slapbas, Klas Henriksson became the fifth part and brought the rockabilly into the band.

This setting also became The Kingbees hallmark. Several influences are melted down to a spice in Lee Ericson compositions, and with a little humility, we take out the best of ourselves.
In spring 2004, the band got a record deal and in June the same year was the song "Big Boys N 'Pink Ladies" on the Swedish charts for six weeks.
The Kingbees has toured in Sweden, Norway, Finland, played at festivals in Belgium and Holland.
Also contributed music to the film Jägarna2.
