With Don Oswald (a.k.a. D Man) at the helm, The Alley Hounds pack enough energy on stage to make a dead man wiggle his toes. Rooted in blues, vintage rock, funk, jazz, the music created by D Man and the Alley Hounds will get things groovin' in any crowd. D Man's wildly memorable guitar artistry is what the stage show is all about. His amazing virtuosity will get 'em on their feet!
Don began playing guitar at the age of four, and thirty-four years later, it remains clear that he is a natural. D Man was taught by his father, Don "Doctor Don" Oswald. "Doctor Don" was a huge part of the local music scene for over forty years, wowing crowds with brilliant guitar work until his unfortunate passing in 2005.
Born and raised in Louisville, D Man is a well-known figure in the regional music community. Perhaps known best as the energetic front man of the former Louisville favorite "Nasty Weather Blues Band", he will have the dance floor packed and on-lookers mesmerized with his guitar virtuosity.
Joining the D Man on stage are veteran showmen Johnny X on bass, Future Bob (the one and only), and Dr. Dave on rhythm guitar. The guys are no strangers to the stage, and collectively have played about every room in the region. They are ready and willing to get things jumpin' at your venue as well.
D Man and the Alley Hounds can be seen at many of the popular night spots in Louisville. They perform regularly at venues including Kingfish, Captain's Quarters, Wick's Pizza, Mellow Mushroom, Bistro 42, Stevie Ray's Blues Bar, Jim Porter's, and Phoenix Hill, just to name a few. The Alley Hounds pride themselves not just on their showmanship and top notch musical abilities, but also on presenting themselves in a tasteful, professional manner. You can expect nothing less from a band with so many years of experience under their collective belt.
D Man and the Alley Hounds are a favorite on the night club scene, and have a loyal and enthusiastic following. The band is also available for festivals, outdoor concert events, and is highly sought after for private parties and receptions. If your event calls for a more mellow, laid back style of entertainment, The Alley Hounds offer a scaled back, jazzy version of the group. D Man and Johnny X make for a sophisticated blend of rhythm & blues and jazz. The duo is perfect for restaurants, small private parties, and gallery events.
D Man currently has three albums out. Alone in the Blues, Dog Creek Daddy-O, and his most recent release, Blues...Off The Neck are full of soulful and rockin' tunes for any mood. All are getting air play around the country, and are selling widely on line and at Alley Hounds shows. Both the band and the albums are a treat to check out. The next time D Man and the Alley Hounds come to your neck of the woods, or if you have the opportunity to book them... do yourself a favor and take a bite of their blues!

Bow Wow, Baby!
