I started singing when I was a young child probably around the age of 4 or 5, but mostly in my room and in private. I was a pretty shy child and actually I don’t think my parents even knew I could sing until I entered a local beauty pageant at the age of 18, and for the talent portion of the competition I sang Reba McEntyre’s, “Why Haven’t I Heard From You?” They were needless to say floored…as were all of my friends and their families! A few of my friends actually asked me if I was lip syncing and of course that should have been more of a put down, but I took it as a huge compliment to think they thought I sounded like Reba…I was so excited that now everyone knew about my hidden talent and from then on I was never shy about singing in public again.

After high school I went to college at Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising Design and work in the field for many years. After getting a bit burned out I decided to get my real estate license and have been working professionally as a Realtor® ever since. During this time I got married and started having babies…this took away from my weekly routine of singing at every karaoke bar, wedding, funeral, church function you could image. I loved to sing, but at the moment I had a 2 year old and an infant and I was rightly focused on my family. So music got put on hold for just a little while and now I feel like I am ready to reunite with my long lost friend! Country Music!

Currently my two wonderful children, Gracie and Dillon are still the loves of my life, along with my wonderful husband, Robert who has tirelessly stood by my side through this whole process. I couldn’t have had the courage to fulfill my dream in being a real country artist with out their love and support.

I do consider my music to be “down home, country grown, red neck to the bone country”. As you will find most of my music is about feeling empowered as a woman, and I just like to remind women that you don’t have to take or accept anything less than the best…and I feel my music reflects an essence of strength, vulnerability, sadness, sexiness, and lots of fun and quirkiness.

I hope you enjoy this music as much as I did making it!
