Result of a tumultuous relationship between the restlessness of music and the luxury of their idleness, the Moonshiners consisting of Gamblin 'Sam (vocals and harmonica), Susie Philip (drums) and Victor Hugo (voice and guitar), appear in Portugal at the beginning 2011. Under the umbrella of influences as diverse as Robert Johnson and Amalia Rodrigues, his music could not help but get their echoes to more girls and their old alleys corners, the brothels and taverns, the low towns liquors stolen and flush ceilings of their mornings. In October 2013, after a long perídodo tour from the north to the south of the country in which they give firsthand the light of the Portuguese public, Moonshiners released their first EP namesake, made up of six original tracks, recorded and mastered by John Velvet, which also includes the participation of Alexandre Mano (on bass) and Miguel Leitão (on saxophone). In this extended play in live recording, are songs about whiskey and beer on, conversations between God and the Devil, requiems of failed love, but especially themselves and their long digression: over the end of the night than the country . Bags and mixtures made from rhythms of blues and country, the shrill harmonics and explosive riffs, the Moonshiners return to the road with his first album recording in his pocket, going through festivals such as the Ephemeral Gardens, the Offbeatz, the Fura and Vagueira Surf Fest.

2015 opens with good news and the release of their second EP, "Good News For Girls Who Have No Fri Appeal", brightened by the photographic eye of Paulo Moreira, the naked-photo. Also counting with the presence of musicians previously invited and with the very same technique baton of John Velvet. Consists of seven original tracks, this second work unravels a more mature band, consolidated and mainly traveled, which reaches the most new and varied directions, without nonetheless losing your dash or your original destination. Fruit sure the road they made three more each to each, so throw several different themes: from the most chaotic, sorted only by date almost electrically charged corner between different sounds, such as "24 Roundabout Blues" and "Slower Than Cadillac Faster Than A Mustang ", including the most melodic and seemingly disengaged, such as" Louie "or" Let's Grow Fat Together "until true cries of someone who has gone into the abyss hear its echo before himself back (" 7 : 45 "). In short summed weights, an expert balance between the more distant hype: if there effigy would be its "Man On Wire". Thus, and without network, returning the Moonshiners, announced traveled acrobats, trafficking and smuggling melodies emotions. With songs for sensitive men and women of stiff beard. At the bottom of his glass: theother side of the glass in the morning. ~automatic transtation
