Three Years Waiting captures all the energy and of The Stampede String Band's live performances, with driving and honest, with intense vocals, gripping harmonies, and biting instrumentation.
The band itself is an unexpected union of warring musical traditions: hardcore bluegrass and folk rock, heavy metal and old-time brother duets, dirty blues rock and a cappella hymns. These diverse forces come together to form the perfect storm that is the music of The Stampede String Band.
The album offers eleven original tunes and three unique covers, totaling fifty minutes of new music.
The Stampede String Band formed in 2011, combining diverse musical styles to create a sound that can only be described as Americana and a style that can only be called The Stampede. Playing nearly 100 shows each year, they draw huge crowds, regularly landing them on bills with national touring acts in the biggest venues. “Moonsville,” the band’s first studio album captured the sound of rural Indiana, while the new album “Three Years Waiting” stretches ambitiously across life in the American heartland.
