Auburn Row was founded in 2012 through a combination of the dismantlement of other projects and mutual friendships. Alexander Cross (Vocals/Bass/Keys) and Mike Racine (guitar) brought Andrew Moore (drums) on board to complete their line-up (for the time) and began making a splash on the Connecticut music scene. After performing numerous live shows at venues such as Toad's Place, The Space and The Webster Underground, Auburn Row built up steam and popularity around the state. With a plethora of original material already written prior to the band's formation, Auburn Row tracked their debut studio album in Summer 2013.

Numerous alterations were made during the recording and mixing processes, causing multiple delays in terms of release for the album. In 2013, Jerrod Ravid (guitar) was added to complete what is now Auburn Row. They continued to play around the state including an on-air TV broadcast on public programming and a popular self-promoted house show.

In 2015, two and a half years after the original recording sessions, "The World Outside" is finally ready to see the light. The album consists of a wide array of styles, ranging from the uplifting "A Reason to Breathe" to the thrashing metal influence on "Last Prayer." With this (long overdue) release, Auburn Row proves that they are a force to be reckoned with and will be for years to come.
