Dan Parsons is a 20 year old Brisbane singer/songwriter who started teaching himself guitar in the closing months of 2002 after hearing Paul Simon's 'Graceland'. He immediately locked himself away in the confines of his bedroom, mastering the piece of wood that was ripping his fingertips apart and before too long he was writing songs. With his smooth, resonant voice, emotive and introspective lyrics, accompanied by his deft finger-picking acoustic guitar style, Dan has been impressing audiences of all ages around Australia over the last 2 years.

This is his self titled second album released in 2013. The songs revolve around Dan's voice and his guitar, from the canyon canter of "Shoalhaven Night", the psych-pop of "Lay It All Down", the jamming of "Oh Baby, When You Say It Like That" to the two mic intimacy of "Bad Circulation". The numb ostinato of "Close Your Eyes, Let It End" was written for a childhood friend who took his life while Dan was on tour.
