This CD bounces around blues & folk roots-type music. The sounds are very cool, but the lyrics are the pearls here. Characters, places, comments and stories will amuse and warm you (well, depending on your sense of humor, of course). This'll be the most interesting album you hear this year (whatever year you buy it).

A couple of comments from listeners:
"Wry, no-nonsense songwriting." PS
"Cool, clever, well written" AM

All written and performed by Mick. Keith had a hand in the lyrics on his lament, and the Irish percussionist Maureen Gartland plays on Keef's Lament, Hearts & Pockets and Med/Msg. Thank you both. Otherwise it's me in my basement obsessing over notes and words.

These are a lot of true stories, incidents that used to be true, characters I wish I'd known, and, once in a while, it's me you're hearing about. Write what you know, right? Here's a swirl of styles with the river blues running through them.
