If loud, mighty guitars are your thing, you MUST check out A.K. McLeod's latest disc, Spiritual Fire. The Hamilton Bluesman and his crew (G. Modesto on bass and drummer Darrin Jamieson) have forged quite a fiery collection of potent grooves!

Spiritual Fire features high-octane covers of Blues classics (Willie Dixon's I Ain't Superstitious, St. James Infirmary, The Thrill is Gone, and Born Under a Bad Sign) and explosive, dynamic originals. These guys really put the power in power trio as the three of them burst and blaze through every tune.

A.K. McLeod is a blues/rock guitarist/singer/songwriter working out of Hamilton, Ontario. He comes from the Six Nations Reserve and the Moose Cree First Nation in Moose Factory, Ontario.

His style is a mixture of 1970’s British blues rock and a fiery Texas style blues. His influences include Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Cry of Love, The Cult, Free, and Bad Company.

He has shared the stage with a number of established artists including Jack De Keyzer, Harpdog Brown, Jace Martin, Inez Jasper, Derek Miller, Digging Roots, Susan Aglukark, David Wilcox, Crystal Shawanda, Murray Porter, George Leech, Gary Farmer, The Pappy Johns Band, and State of Shock. He is a 2 time award winner (First Runner Up ’08 and Grand Prize ’09, Aboriginal Canada “We Got Talent” Competition). He is noted for his high energy performances, catchy and driving guitar riffs in his original songs, fiery and skillful leads, and his modern interpretation of old blues classics.

His first full length album “Spiritual Fire” was featured on “Blues Blast on The Hawk”(101.5 FM, Mohawk College radio) as album of the week, and is in regular rotation on their playlist.
