The Californian singer describes her new single as a let-loose party track with a message - what you see is not always what you get.

The singer now has her very own touring band and is excited to hit the road with a number of upcoming shows this summer. She can’t wait to debut her songs to her ever-growing fan base and see the crowd’s reaction. Just don't ask her what her favorite songs on her album are – “they're my babies - I can’t pick favorites!”

Barron's style and image is inspired by classic stars and their vintage style. She looked to the artwork of her idols and old vinyl copies to find inspiration for her own vision and image – a self-described “county rock girl with rougher edges.”

Barron's early inspirations to become a singer came through her parents exposing her to a diverse mix of country, jazz and rock 'n' roll.

Her inspirations range from Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Patsy Cline to Martina McBride and Brooks and Dunn. She is also a fan of today's country sound and the southern rock artists that her dad introduced her to, including Lynard Skynard and The Eagles.

Regarding the challenge of breaking through at the country radio format, Barron says that while it is competitive, this has only made her more driven.

“Music will always evolve. I love a lot of pop country songs, but we can also bring back old school.”

With her drive, enthusiasm and most importantly, great songs and natural talent, all the cards are in place for Ashley Barron to become one of county music's next generation of superstars.
