St. Mud Avenue rose in 2013 by guitarist Stefano Ronchi and harp player Fabio Kid Bommarito. The main intention was, and still is, to combine personal arrangements of classic blues tunes with the traditional language of this old brilliant music. In 2014 the band turned into a very special quintet, where the traditional sounds of Mississippi (footdrums, resophonic guitars and harp) can speak the same ol’ language with cello and double bass. The quintet debut took place on June 2014 on the prestigious stage of the Italian Final Selection of the International Blues Challenge (I.B.C.), where St. Mud Avenue conquered the second place. They’re actually working on their new Album, which is supposed to be released on January 2015.

Stefano Ronchi – guitars, vocals, footdrums
Flavia Barbacetto – vocals, washboard
Fabio Kid Bommarito – harp
Stefano Cabrera – cello
Pietro Martinelli – doublebass
