Todd Stanford was raised in the rustic foothills of the Adirondack mountains, in the small town of Gloversville. He eventually headed west with the hopes of forging a career as a singer, and over time he developed strong relationships with talented songwriters and musicians, many of whom are featured on the album. Todd’s down-to-earth character attributable to his roots in the Adirondacks can be heard throughout each of the tracks on “Gettin’ There”.

“Gettin’ There” a collection of country gems and includes new music by legendary songwriter Jim Collins, who is credited as the co-writer of the opening track “A Way with Words.”

Todd is backed by musicians notable for their world-class talents and associations with top performing acts, with Dan Schafer (Shania Twain) on lead, rhythm and acoustic guitars and pedal steel, Bob Birch (Elton John) on bass, Bobby Barth (AXE / Blackfoot) on slide guitar. Two other great guitar pickers, John Duva and Ian Ross, are featured on the album, along with Jimmy Hunter on drums, keyboards and backing vocals. Mark Indictor lends his talents on fiddle. Hunter also expertly produced and engineered the album at Cazador Recordings.
