2003 - P.H.A.S.E.R.
1 P.H.A.S.E.R.
2 Parsec
3 Scrapyard

The latest 12” out of The Hague comes courtesy of Freak Electrique, droppin’ 2 tracks of their 80’s influenced Italo Disco. Plenty of arpeggiators have been programmed, the lo-fi recording has been set and the 80’s porno/sci-fi films have been watched, P.H.A.S.E.R. Is an emotive trip through these filters, with analog strings vying with the synths for melodic superiority, the rhythm holds the groove while the phased synths pan around the speakers with ace effect. Flip for a similar vibe on ‘Parsec’ with its rolling synths and disco rhythm that makes it come across like a missing Giorgio Moroder track, lots of strings and atmosphere, and that classic Viewlexx vibe, check.

2005 - Mr. Psycho
1 Mr. Psycho

2005 - Cloud Surfer / Fright Jazz
1 Cloud Surfer (Original) 7:46
2 Cloud Surfer (Remix) 7:30
3 Fright Jazz (Original) 4:08
4 Fright Jazz (Remix) 6:23

2005 - Symphony Electrique
1 Symphony Electrique (Long) 16:30
2 Symphony Electrique (Short) 7:40

From the 'what not to expect next' department, the folks who brought you the epic P.H.A.S.E.R.return with another multi-minute effort, "Symphony Electrique". Starting off with a thick 'tick tock' time keeping rhythm and moody science fiction sequence which could have been a lost soundtrack session for the X-files. The broad and melodic themes here are soaring and strong, the painstaking drum programming is intricate with it's deceptively "live" sounding traps. An engaging electronic exercise that spreads out extensively like a warm blanket on a chilly night, and yet offers enough meat on the bone to urge a bump or two in sound systems and home listening headphones alike.
