Described by Allman Brothers' biographer Scott Freeman as "the greatest honky tonk singer in history", Kentuckian GARY STEWART roared onto the country charts in the mid 70s with three Top Ten "drinkin' song" classics. With his second album, Steppin' Out (1976) Stewart added a Southern Rock element and his twin strains made him an iconic figure straddling the worlds of rock and country. This blending evolved with 1977's Your Place Or Mine and 1978's Little Junior. It is the elusive second and fourth of his RCA albums that Raven has drawn together on this ultra-value 'two-for'. The complete LPs (never before on CD) have been embellished with three bonus tracks from non-album 45s and a previously unheard, unreleased honky tonker Half Alive and Still Drinking from the RCA vaults. Raven. 2005.
