Born on the 25th November 1966 in Washington, DC, USA. Stacy emerged as a child prodigy in the late 70s, touring with Ramsey lewis at the age of 11 and recording her first album for Cotillion a year later. Stacy's light and breezy pop-disco style was epitomized by her 1980 US hits, 'Dynamite' and `let Me Be Your Angel', produced by Van McCoy and Narada Michael Walden, respectively. Stacy enjoyed success in 1982 with novelty record `Attack Of The Name Game', but her subsequent Cotillion releases failed to match the sparkle of her early work. An Album of duets with fellow teenager Johnny Gill in 1984 was well received, but her solo career was only revived after she signed to Motown Records in 1986 and enjoyed major dance hits with `Nail It To the Wall' and `Jump Into My Lfe', It is a strong album featuring the production talents of Kashif, Narada Michael Walden, Jellybean Benitez and Leon Sylvers III - Colin Larkin (Muze)
