Originally the first single from Disintegration in the U.K., but the third in America, "Lullaby" amusingly takes the arachnid scenario of "Boris the Spider" by the Who and gives it a uniquely Cure twist. Robert Smith's detailing of the spiderman coming along to envelope and devour is classically Cure, while the tight, haunted-house vibe of the song is another winner. The extended remix throws in some extra percussion and keyboards while making some of Smith's lighter whispering more audible; otherwise it's essentially the same song with extra fillips. In America, the two B-sides of the single were cuts from the limited-edition live album Entreat, which never saw official American release. The final two cuts from Disintegration, "Homesick" and "Untitled," are the featured songs; while not radically different from the album versions, both benefit from strong performances musically and vocally, having a slightly lighter feeling all around that the studio takes.
