Curated and compiled by French duo Amine Edge & DANCE, this compilation does more for Brazilian house music than a million Bacardi ads. Diamn's "I Got More Clothes Than Muhammad Ali" starts the compilation in party mode, with a walking bass similar to the one in Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust", supporting a hip-hop style call and response vocal. Nappi's "Let's Get Down Tonight" is deeper, with a muffled vocal unravelling over a garage rhythm and a resonating techno bass. Handerson & Andre Anthony's "Drop The Bass" could be seen as a Latin version of electro house, but whatever Brazil's producers lack in selectivity, they make up for in terms of raw talent, as the woozy bass and tight claps of Mad Drew's tracky techno "Over" demonstrates.
