Wedding blues. rock, folk, jazz, psychedelia, and other forms of music with poetry and imaginative landscapes often akin to the cut-up method employed and pioneered by William s. Burroughs and the stream of consciousness of James Joyce, with an emphasis on themes such as freedom, travel, birth, sex, death, suffering and redemption. Influences include Rimbaud, Poe, Van Gogh and Buster Keaton. Musical inspiration comes from the Delta and Chicago Blues, and the many American and British artists who followed in their wake, and kept this music, in myriad approaches, alive and vital. The folk music from Europe and other continents, brought over to America, and indigenous hybrids, such as bluegrass and psychedelia, factor in as well. To date, Mike has written over 1600 songs and is still going strong
