Atterby is an americana/country-band based in Stockholm founded by husband and wife team Adam and Charlotte Atterby. To complete the core line-up of the band Lars Frick was adopted into the musical fold. In 2004 Adam started up rootsreggae band Urban Tribe Stockholm in which Charlotte headed up the backing vocal section and Adam sang lead. Lars became the bassplayer for all of UTS’s liveshows aswell as the bassplayer of choice in Adam and Charlotte’s coverband Bigfoot.
UTS released 4 albums and if it hadn’t been for the latest UTS-album ”Better Days” (released in 2012), Atterby would have come into fruition much earlier as some of the songs on ”Songs from the green tower” were written as early as 2009.
The idea that got Atterby started was to put the spotlight on Charlotte and to explore new musical ground, drawing on influences like Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crowe, Daniel Lanois, Steve Earle and many others. In 2013 the work of making the debut album began in earnest. All songs were recorded in the attic of Adam and Charlotte’s home in Värmdö outside Stockholm.

Charlotte Atterby - vocals
Adam Atterby - vocals, guitars, percussion
Lars Frick - bass, backing vocals
