The Michael Louis Band is a blues-rock trio from Brooklyn, NY. On one hand they are influenced by the British rock bands from the sixties (Beatles, Stones, Kinks...etc), Hendrix and by the American blues of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, the three Kings (Albert, BB & Freddie).
The band's music is best described as blues with clear influences of funk, soul and rock 'n roll.
Their latest album 'Morning Gasoline' is officially out on MMM Records.
Of the eleven songs, nine are written by the band itself. With a deluge of guitars, the title song Morning Gasoline is poured onto the listener.
It takes time in the beginning to get used to, but after some time you'll hear all the layers which are hiding there; a handsome song.
But it's not all violence as the clock strikes. The album is a nice mix of strong songs and quiet, thoughtful ballads.
