As far as he's ever been from his American roots band The Knuckle Dusters, Scott Spearly moves beyond the underlying country and fiddle rhythms of his "Low-Country Radio" album, to more bluesy styles on guitar, harmonica, banjo and piano which he likes most to call home. Present again are fellow band mates Evan Price on fiddle and cello, along with Scott's son Matthew thumping out some light percussion, electric and upright bass tones, and even a little Telecaster guitar on some tracks. When asked about composing the album's two instrumentals "Baile de' Serpiente" and "The Road to Falling Waters" Spearly said...."Well, the first is some kind of weird and formal baroque piece about a dragon dancing with a pig --- but "dragon" doesn't translate so smoothly in Spanish. And Falling Waters (?), just imagine a lone twisty drive on a tree-lined road, with all the colors of fall, and you are on your way to the one who reaches the love buried in your chest, and who brings it nearer to hers."
