Songs on this album are being performed by the newly formed Dave Lambert & The Motivators comprised of Donna Dahl (drums and vocals and IBC Winner solo/duo category selected to represent the Mn Blues society 2014), Dan Mansur (Bass), and Mike Nadeau (pronounced Nado on Hammond and Piano). The album is a series of songs written and performed originally by the Dave Lambert Band and took six years in the making. Al it lacks is the shelf on which you store all of your other favorite music. From blistering slide guitar riffs on the title cut Broken Wings to more conventional contemporary blues on Tell Me Peoples Dave brings it to enigmatic solos on Little Lea and Why Should I Care. Where is Heaven is Jouney-esque in nature with lead lines supporting vocal depths of disparity. Followed up by every barbecuing persons fanfare Order Up is nothing short of mouth watering funky old soul groove. While Celtic Jam is just that, done live in the studio Road Trip brings it back with down home foot stomping rocking greatness. Mentor is an emotional ride through reminiscing childhood guidance and a tribute to fathers every where blending technique and emotion through a roller coaster ride of technical guitar overtones. This album is a must for blues lovers and will be the admiration of guitar slingers the world over.
