Ok... Hi again folks. Here we go with another one that probably most all of you have never heard of at all. But don't let that stop you. Just read and consider -

Imagine Wire and Echo & The Bunnymen collaborating on an album circa 1981. That’s pretty much what can be found on The Kiss-Off’s EP Brace. Whereas many a New York act have fallen into the creative trap of churning out formulaic post-punk, The Kiss Off have managed to fuse two disparate styles together in an intriguing way. In fact, Sam Tyndall’s vocals at once evoke the reverb-drenched vocal stylings of Ian MacCulloch and the guttural punch of Colin Newman (circa Pink Flag), which is a feat in and of itself. The rhythms and melodies alternate between the angular minimalism of Wire and the pop-psychedelia of Echo & The Bunnymen, most notably on the song “Mother Murderer.” Faint traces of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) can also be heard in stand-out track “Amplify,” which might be an aesthetic the band could further explore in future releases. While it is not ground-breaking, Brace is a great example of how a modern band can tap past influences without sounding like a tribute band. - DJ Pangburn

Just ‘cause you’re all dressed up in your favorite set of scarves and vintage tees doesn’t mean you can’t dance! Five miraculous men have been getting the beautiful to get sweaty and the sweaty to get laid for over two years since they joined their lion-hearted instrumentation into colossal form of The Kiss-Off! Formally trained musicians all, Adam De Rosa, Oliver Devine Edsforth, Nathan Lithgow, Michael Resnick and Sam Tyndall have been rocking the bottom out of venues all over New York, headlining everywhere from the Mercury Lounge to the Blender Theater to the occasional wedding. After releasing the infectious 'Brace' EP in 2008, the boys continue arguing the politics of dancing at their live shows. - Eric Grundhauser, March 24, 2009

Alright, this band's music does remind me back to those glorious Alterantive days I enjoyed so much. What a wonderful time in my life! This is one of those that just sounds better and better every listen. Enjoy...
