The band's first single from their debut, "Sky In Your Bones", was featured on WXPN's The Key. JUMP Magazine called the group "indie pop gold" and said "they put on quite a show, with a pair of powerful female vocalists, well-written indie pop and unbridled energy."

Drawing from the likes of Jon Brion, the scope of Arcade Fire, and the tribal avant-garde of Animal Collective, Tutlie carries both the dark and the light in equal measure. Formed by Jessie Radlow in 2010 while attending college in West Chester, Pennsylvania, the band has seen many lineup shifts on the path to refining the vision Radlow first set forth. In 2012, producers Drew Taurisano and Asher Brooks joined the outfit as they began to demo what would eventually become the bands 2014 debut LP Young Cries.

The band now features the extraordinary vocal talent of Rebecca Way who, along with Radlow, provide an original and intoxicating backbone to the band. Joined by the additional talents of Greg Diehl on bass guitar, Greg O'neill on electric guitar, Mark Cruttenden on drums, and multi-instrumentalist/producer Brooks.
