Isabelle Young is a Montreal based singer/songwriter who has been surrounded by music since her early childhood. Supported by a musical family, she grew up listening to Alison Krauss, Bill Withers, Sade, Etta James, Jeff Buckley and Radiohead. After completing her jazz performance studies at Vanier College, she began writing her own compositions. Retaining her schooled and distinctive vocal sound, she has crafted new material that draws from her pop/alternative, soul, jazz and electro/pop influences.

Isabelle Young’s debut EP "Sirens" includes six of her original compositions dealing with the turbulent effects of falling in and out of love. Driven by Isabelle’s clear vocal tone, passionate piano and guitar riffs and strong rhythm section, Sirens offers an emotional experience. It starts off somber, with intriguing and moody hooks, and ends with a strong trio performance of a nostalgic ballad. Since its digital release, the EP's title track has created waves in the UK, which got the single playing on Amazing Radio and several influential music blogs. The consistencies found throughout the album are the lush, jazz-flavored tones, the smooth arrangements and Young’s personal lyrics.

“A year ago I was a little adrift, so I sat down to write some music. This was the first song that poured out of me.”
‘Pour’ feels like a very suitable word, for this luxurious debut track from Montreal’s Isabelle Young, lifted from her debut EP expected in May. Sirens begins rather sombre, and blossoms into a gorgeous, deeply emotive number, with Young’s Hannah Reid-esque vocals taking centre stage.” -Crack In the Road

"Young, who comes from a long line of very talented musicians, is creating her own path in terms of musical artistry. Even with so much talent around her, she has still been able to create her own unique sound, one that captivates the listener and completely immerses them in the chaotic effects of love and heartbreak". - Gazette Vaudreuil-Soulanges

"There are certain things that will brighten up your morning, this beautiful song could be one of these things. [...] a gorgeous mix between good vibes and brooding sound". -

"The song’s simple, breezy arrangement exudes a vulnerability too often absent in pop songs". -
