The sophomore release from last year’s IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year nominee Flatt Lonesome shows a talented, tight, and more mature group of fantastic young musicians.

From the driving kick-off song “So Far,” to the lonesome ballad “Make it Through the Day,” to the Tim Stafford original “Dangerous Dan” and on to the swing feel of “Never Let Me Go,” soaring sibling harmonies and hot picking dominate.

“Since the last release, we’ve learned even more how to be a band,” says singer and mandolin player Kelsi Harrigill. “We still showcase each member, but what is important is that we perform more like a unit on this album. We have really found our identity as Flatt Lonesome.”

Flatt Lonesome considers itself a family even beyond ties of blood and marriage. Their close bond is a result of both a life on the road performing as well as shared convictions exemplified by the band’s inclusion of sincerely written and delivered original Gospel songs.

No longer newcomers, Flatt Lonesome’s growth in skill and experience offers Bluegrass lovers a confident look into the future of the music.
