The indie-rock trio outfit Colony House from Franklin, Tennessee have released their debut full-length When I Was Younger today and in such have been garnering the attention of parties all over the industry such as Bob Boilen from NPR to the A.V. Club.

Their music is a cross reference of the dark and light; the yin and yang if you will… and sonically it’s all about layers. Blending the rich & soft vocal harmonies over gritty rock guitars.
Named for an apartment complex on 11th ave. in their hometown of Franklin, Tennessee, Colony House founder and frontman Caleb Chapman states that this landmark began as each members home and has gone on to become their namesake… in essence allowing the boys to bring their home with them wherever they go.

“Creating this record had such a strong set of contrasting emotions: joy, hope, frustration, sorrow, uncertainty, confidence,” says lead singer / songwriter Caleb Champan. “The songs I write have always come from deep places, whether they’re deep places of joy or deep places of hurt, and it can be hard inviting people into those places with you.”

With their breakthrough single “Silhouettes” currently ranked #2 on Sirius XM’s AltNation charts, Colony House has received a wave of critical acclaim since the album announcement, including A.V. Club, NPR Music’s All Songs Considered, Baeble, Conan O’Brien’s TeamCoco, UpRoxx, and EarMilk.

Lead singer, guitarist and principal songwriter Caleb Chapman writes effortlessly infectious tunes that resonate with personal experience and emotional depth. The songs’ messages of hope and perseverance are matched by the organic musical rapport of Caleb and his bandmates, brother Will Chapman on drums and Scott Mills on lead guitar and harmony vocals.

The band kicked off the first leg of their U.S. tour in support of the new album playing to packed crows in New York, St. Louis, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and their hometown of Nashville.
