Reflecting the rich musical heritage of his home in southeast TN, A Man Called Bruce’s music is roots, rock, country, and blues. Americana music with an edge that fits well in today’s musical landscape. As an outlaw, his sound has been compared to Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and the like. You can also hear the pop & rock influences of The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd and other classic artists. But, you can’t deny comparisons to The Civil Wars, John Hiatt, and The Avett Brothers, along with other currently popular songwriters. His solo performances include up to two 45-minute sets of all original music.

Steve Bogard, president of the Nashville Songwriters Association Int’l said Bruce is, “… obviously a talented writer.”

The Chattanooga Songwriters Association awarded A Man Called Bruce the ‘Songwriter of the Month’ award for July 2012.

Bruce’s musical roots run deep - his heart beats with the blues, his soul is rock n’ roll, and country music flows through his veins.

His brand new album, “RESONATOR” features 11 songs recorded in a way that reflects the sound of his solo live performances, yet maintains the clarity of recording in a studio. The songs on RESONATOR are played on an iron body guitar, known as a resonator. This guitar creates a brash, bluesy tone much different than an acoustic guitar.
