The Blues-O-Matics started in 1995 in Belgium after 5 guys visited the hotbeds of roots music in the USA: Cajun country in Louisiana, San Antonio and Austin in Texas, Nashville and Memphis in Tennessee, Vicksburg and Clarksdale in Mississippi.

These guys, with Mich Van Sever (guitar), Go De Winde (vocals), Jamme Goubert (drums), Jos Delbecque (bass) and Frans Macken (accordion, percussion, harp, saxophone) writing and playin their own songs with traditional instruments and vintage guitars, completed with washboard, accordion and a suitcase full percussion. You can hear the influences of Rockabilly, Cajun, Ragtime, Blues, Tex-Mex and Western swing. Danceable, catchy swamp blues, that's the recipe for The Blues-O-Matics.

Early 1997 they leave the rehearsal room and go on the road. They play the bill of Brussels Blues and the More Blues festival in Zottegem. In september 1998 they release their first album ‘That’s All’ with their own songs.

The reactions are enthusiastic and The Blues-O-Matics are gearing up for a new tour through clubs and festivals. Highlight is their apperance at the Belgium Rhythm & Blues Festival Peer 1999.
