Hartford, CT(New Endland) natives Balkun Brothers bring an exciting, fresh, energetic, and soulful style of blues rock that is sure to get you moving and keep you entertained all night long. Mixing traditional styles of old delta and electric blues with modern rock and funk grooves the Balkun Brothers are crafting a sound and style all their own. The band features some of the best young up-and-coming blues musicians in the area. Frontman Steve Balkun was the winner of the 2012 Connecticut Blues Society solo/duo Challenge, a 2013 International Blues Challenge Grand Finalist and 2013 Finalist of Guitar Center and Joe Bonamassa's Bluesmasters Competition. With the addition of younger brother Nick Balkun's powerful drumming, the band is a powerful blues-rock band.

The Balkun Brothers consistently tour throughout the Northeast U.S. as well as on the West Coast, playing hundreds of shows per year since their inception in 2010.

The band's sound fuses strong blues riffs and heavy classic funk rhythms. Power and cosmic communication through their unique blend of music brings fans to their feet on a regular basis.

Their impressive touring schedule has given them the opportunity to play with well known artists such as Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, DOPAPOD, Gang of Thieves, Big Ol' Dirty Bucket, The Brew, Shaka & the Soul Shakers, The Tim McDonald Band, Elephant Wrecking Ball, Cashed Fools, People With Instruments, SEED, Rhythmic Circus, Indian Summer, KLOKWIZE, DJ M.E., Poor Old Shine, Howling Kettles, Tubby Love, Rapplesauce and many more.
