A electronic polish with hip hop elements all wrapped inside a type of classic new wave sound kickstarts the release with 'Faulty Track' and 'Charlie Chaplin Disco Mobile': I'm sure all the robots out there will dig these Euro beats and that aforementioned hip hop influence takes over on 'Take a Sit' and with the instrumentation and intelligent song structures its a vastly different musical approach, making these songs an extremely interesting listen.

Some of these tunes could fall into the soundtrack category of any B-movie or Arthouse film, 'Dust' for example, or the ambient beats of 'Snowline': definitely a collection of tracks to chill out to. 'This World' brings comparisons to They Might Be Giants and the like, with one of those outside of the box songwriting things going down, but it's the electro hip hop groove that would probably best sum up this album release, with strange but beautifully crafted tracks like 'Fireman' or the psychedelic '60s trance-esque sense of 'I Know (The Moon)'.

There are lots of commercial elements and rockier moments too, like on 'I Am Revenge' and 'Backward Evolution', proving this to be an album that covers all the musical genres perfectly; something for everyone, certainly.

The acoustic title track, 'Astronaut', is another slice of off the wall commerciality with a similarity at points to Eddie Vedder, albeit vaguely, but another brilliantly crafted tune all the same, and the precise and elegant acoustic touch of bonus track 'Comet' mellows the album out so delicately.
